Erica Rebstock
Vice President of Governance, Risk, and Compliance at Aquia
Erica is the Vice President of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) at Aquia, currently supporting the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) on enterprise GRC and artificial intelligence initiatives.
In this role, she leads the design and implementation of scalable SaaS governance, continuous authorization (cATO), and AI-enabled compliance solutions, helping agencies modernize securely while maintaining alignment with federal frameworks, such as FISMA, NIST, and FedRAMP. She is helping address the complex challenge of balancing rapid cloud and AI adoption with rigorous compliance requirements by introducing automation, risk-based decision models, and engineering-driven governance approaches.
Prior to joining Aquia, Erica held cybersecurity and information assurance roles supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) and federal programs, including leadership positions within the U.S. Navy, U.S. Army, and work with Booz Allen Hamilton. Her career has focused on advancing cybersecurity testing, risk management, and authorization processes across mission-critical systems, with a strong commitment to public service and national security.
Erica holds a Master of Science in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance from Western Governors University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Stockton University. She is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and holds multiple EC-Council and ISACA certifications. She is passionate about modernizing GRC through automation, AI, and cloud-native approaches to improve mission outcomes across the federal landscape.
Outside of work, Erica is a mom to five energetic children and is actively involved in her community, serving in leadership roles with the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore, her children’s sports teams, and is the President of her children’s elementary school PTA, where she organizes programs and events that support youth development, leadership, and community engagement.
